The Conference

The Shastri Indo?Canadian Institute (SICI) in association with the Indian Institute of Management

Calcutta, University of Calcutta, University of Calcutta and Jadavpur University, is organizing a two?day conference on December 3?4, 2011, at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. This is part the ‘Engaging Canada’ conferences being organized by the SICI in collaboration with the Canadian High Commission, New Delhi. This new initiative of SICI initiative aims to develop, multi?disciplinary

educational, economic, and social partnership between Indian and Canadian institutions.

Objective

This conference will bring together scholars from universities, business schools, social science and

science & technology research institutions, as well as senior executives from firms and officials from

trade organizations to discuss research work and linkages that have significance for India?Canada

research collaborations.

The conference will provide an opportunity for scholars to showcase Canada?focused research, and

research that has the potential to develop or branch out into collaborative research projects involving

Indian and Canadian universities and research institutions.
