Electoral Coverage from Bundelkhand

Electoral Coverage from Bundelkhand

Electoral coverage by the commercial news media is still leaving much out and guess denizens in social media would therefore continue to do ‘their job’. It is being reported that people living in poverty and neglect by the government especially in the Drought-prone Bundelkhand are rather in ‘full fascination’ about the erst-while ‘Rajas’ and would rather vote the one who is ‘most handsome’ rather than one who promises rejuvenation of water-bodies, schools, skilling centers and health centers (so that they can have jobs). Top of it the journos won’t mind adding their credibility and that of their media house behind such coverage and remain convinced that no one is noticing even in the ‘Game-Yug’ dominated by the ‘social media’. Now while this may be true that candidates backed by major parties may not have done anything worthwhile so far, however this doesn’t mean continued fascination of the publics for choosing ‘the most handsome one’, which is being conjectured. Such coverage is at best the journos own inability or reluctance or both, to be able to raise tough questions to the candidates and depict the answers of the same to public. In fact there is no such outrage being depicted in the news media and this is a journalistic failure, rather than public failure. This is because the commercial news media is failing to decipher reason for ‘change’ but is rather ‘recording’ this change incorrectly all the time and is refusing to ‘change’ its own old ways, a point constantly highlighted in the articles in Management Paradise. In fact won’t be surprised, if a barrage of condemnation for social media vented in return for such articles.

The habit of ‘idol-worship’ amongst journos, who themselves ‘make & break’ such idols in heap, and therefore an attempt to hoard power via such machinations, is being doubted here. Instead of an attempt to find out if people are unhappy with their elected representatives, or the Netas in government at the state or the Netas in government at Center and how would they want to express themselves electorally in such a complex political situation with just one or may be two vote/s, we have journos donning fancy ideas and propagating them in public. It may be noted that a few like ‘Your’s truly’ would rather bring in ‘Game’ to help decipher this competitive political choice/s that people have to make and how & why are they making them. However this seems to upset political Netas, Parties and Journos alike, who remain hell-bent about the superiority of the ‘Caste/Dalit noise’ or the ‘Ram-Bhakti chorus’ and there remain in the comfort zone of propagation of these very ideas basis recycling of the past ideas & articles rather than having to re-write new ones. It may be noted that in the near past itself, such noise and/or chorus based explanation have failed in regularity to be able to explain political judgments by the people whereas one based on ‘Game’ has succeeded in explaining almost all of these. In fact the whole ‘industry’ of political surveys can now vouch for these since it has already collapsed and this may include some past commercial news media barons as well. Guess some more may be in queue before such analysis can establish its ground and that would give us somewhat more ‘learned journos’ that public deserve.

This election may depict the people’s anger being expressed for the Netas not having right priorities, and this may not be just one region alone. In fact, the attempt to segregate such anger into caste grouping then attempting to ride caste bandwagon by separate Netas gives rather limited choice to people. The Netas themselves can weigh advantages and disadvantages for such approach rather than leaving it to the commercial news media which needs to perhaps fend for itself for believing deeply into this political approach or even the mandir/masjid influence approach. The followers of these ‘Game’ articles have their forecast already. Let the ‘Game’ evolve….

Bundelkhand, a region straddling the states of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh in central India, has long been a focal point for electoral coverage due to its unique sociopolitical dynamics and historical significance. The region, known for its rugged terrain and significant agricultural output, plays a crucial role in shaping the electoral outcomes of both states. During election seasons, media outlets extensively cover the campaigns, rallies, and public engagements of political figures in Bundelkhand, highlighting the key issues and promises made to the electorate. These issues often revolve around water scarcity, rural development, and job creation, reflecting the deep-rooted challenges faced by the local population. The region's voting patterns are influenced by a complex interplay of caste, community, and economic factors, making it a strategically important battleground for political parties. Local journalists and national media alike delve into the grassroots movements and the impact of regional parties, providing a nuanced view of the political landscape. Additionally, electoral coverage from Bundelkhand often includes discussions on the infrastructure improvements needed to enhance connectivity and economic opportunities, as well as the efforts to address the region's historical marginalization. The media's focus on these aspects not only informs the public but also puts pressure on political leaders to address the long-standing concerns of the people of Bundelkhand.
