I don't think that MAN is much helpful in pregnancy days. The pains and complications of pregnancy can be shared and solved with the women friends / relatives.

Of course, Man should take care of his wife, keep her in a good mood, take her for a ride and fulfill her all types eating demands. This can be done by attending office / work too. When actual Lab'our pain starts men must take one / two days leave to admit her wife in a good maternity home.

Taking a holiday is fine 1 weak would work but is there a need to take 15 - 20 days of leave. I think its all waste of holidays it can be used further to be with your small sweet babies. It is possible only in Indian movies that baby birth made possible with the vacuum cleaner, operated by a HERO, not in our practical life.

for nuclear families , this kind of situation becomes really critical. So , this new concept should be adopted by metro cities atlst where thesekind of cases are common.

YES i think so man shld get paternity leave as this r the days when a wife needs his husband more thn any other day nd he should be with his wife

I think there sud be rules and framework be decided on why the need for leave? if required is leave sud be granted on occasion.

I would like to reiterate what someone said above , that in current family setups which are predominantly Nuclear, Men have to take a more proactive role during the wife's pregnancy , while the leave may not be as a long a duration as given to a woman, it should be given nevertheless.

Yes men should get paternity leave. Recently our company where i am working introduced the paternity leave for 5 days. I think big companies have the policy on paternity leave.

Men must be given paternity leaves to take care of the new mother.I don't see any issues there....Its a good initiative. If men need more leave they can take bt from other baskets like CL,PL etc.

i think men deserve to be with their wives wen dey need it the most... husband's support matters a lot during such times... even dey r father of a new born .. so its a fun experience for them.. i think every man is entitled to atleast 15 days of paternity leave

Of course! if your family is nuclear then man should take leave of some days for taking care of his wife. A man should take the duties of taking care of the house and other work at the time of woman pregnancy. In nuclear family a man husband is one who can take better care of her wife than any other.
