First it was Ash, then Mallika Sherawat and now it looks like Sush is all set to pack her bags and move to Hollywood. Sushmita Sen has bagged her second Hollywood film and her costar is none other than Richard Gere. Some of Bollywood's biggest leading ladies are all set to make the all important crossover to Hollywood. But, do our Bollywood actresses actually have what it takes to make it big in Hollywood? Tell us what you think
 
Lots of actors/actresses at Hollywood are from outside US except from India till sometime back. But that record had been broken by handful in the recent past. Good beginning.

Coming to the heroine roles by Indian actresses, our indian culture will not be spared at hollywood, of course now-a-days it is not spared in bollywood itself.
 
well actually our indian actresses will do good only if they are willing to do anything and everything...coz u knw hollywood! they have to strip and do sum scenes fully nude..so if indian actresses are willing to take such steps thy wld do fine in acting..There are movies without nude scenes also..in such movies indian actresses wld do fine :cool:
 
Hi,
Simply by moving to Hollywood won't suffice.It depends on the role they are gng to play.If tz simply a skin show in H-wood,then better to do the some good women-centred roles in Bollywood.

The only positive aspect wud be their endorsements fees will increase wen they are back home.

ya, bollywood n the actor\actresses here are in much demand all over the world...people outside india luv to watch indian cinema...so i thnk the actor\actresses hv fullscope....
 
yes bollywood actress can do well in holywood movie as most of them r rcognised every where they do stand a chance but u neverr know like ashz movie bride n prjudice did not do all that well

absolutely... but not all of them... some selected actors and actresses.... sushmita sen as a mattr of fact is just made for hollywood... thaz wat i think.. bcoz apart from her acting skills and beauty.. shes very sophesticated and her english speakin skill is a question of appreciation
 
Ya lorettap, I totally agree with you.. only a selected few have the talent for the hollywood.. And sushmita is the best example for that. Now its a high time that indian acteresses (and actors too!!!) should start thinking global and aapproach towards hollywood..

well agreed to make a strong foothold there...1 or 2 movies wont help!!
 
Indian actresses have the beauty & skills to make it to hollywood. The hinderance is Indian Culture & ethos. Whether they wld be willing to do nude scenes decides if they will succeed or not
 
they r cut only cuz hollywood needs ppl of exotic looks....they dont neeed them to act but jus strip off.....if they do it they r cut.....
do u honestly believe they can ACT? no way.....there is not a single actress in india who is doing lead roles today can really act....those yester heroines r all vanished from the scene....today its all abt looks

Your right with the first part where you said hollywood-stripping thing.Yes i agree with that,But the 2nd part which i have highlighted is wrong.Our Indian actresses may have the looks but they can act as good as any Hollywood actress,Plus they look better than Hollywood actresses.So for good descent movies,they would do a wonderful job in acting.
