Advertising is a kind of paid promotions which helps in creating awareness, helps in persuading and also building a brand position in the mind of consumer.

Do you think they exaggerate real truth???

My view is :-

Advertisements are diplomatic way of saying a lie. They present the product in a such a way that it persuades the consumer to buy the product. They donot depict the side effects, or negative points of the product. So they are definitely hiding the truth from the consumers.

ofcourse most of the advertisements are exaggerate but to stop this....how about legalising competitive and comparative advertising???

Advertisement is just an another tool for an company to promote their upcoming brand. It acts as medium between every generation of people. Advertisement is just an exaggeration of material which is not at all true to its part.

NO! they say half truth, but it is business and it is the marketing, Company has to manage their Sale to survive in market.
Half truth in advertise is a trick to attract the customer, if they show the real thing the customer will not be interested.

But attracting customer is not a moral justification to the false advertising.....customer can be attracted by other means also

A lot of advertising uses slogans that aren't necessarily meant to be taken literally. But now even some companies are admitting you shouldn't believe everything you see--at least in their competitors' ads. In fact, using laws designed to protect consumers from deceptive advertising, an increasing number of companies are suing each other, claiming that false advertising by a competitor is hurting their sales.
