He is also the principal investigator of the NRF-funded Special Interest Group on Interactive Digital Enterprise (SIGIDE). Dr. Sharma is currently working on Knowledge and Digital Economies. He started off the session by discussing some of the jargons like Prosumer Behavior, Electronic Word of Mouth, Consumer Generated Content (CGC), etc. He further added that “New media is all about “convergence.” It’s convergence of devices, convergence of formats (digital data), and convergence (or blurring) of ways we use media that were formerly much more distinctly separated, namely, production and consumption.” During the latter half of the session, Dr. Sharma introduced the ADVISOR model on which his team is currently working. The model helps de novo firms to analyze their strengths and weaknesses
