Your best prepared presentations may have paltry turnout and when you have just skimmed through the matter and are up there due to some unforeseen compulsions; 10 people will earnestly start pitching their questions. Your parents don’t bother you when you are watching “Man vs Wild” but they barge in without notice when you are enjoying 300 (yes the Spartan one ) for the umpteenth time with the lights switched off and doors shut; so you can scream with Leonidas….(This is Sparta!!!) among other perky factors.
The ideal attitude to have in such a case is sheer , thick headed belligerence.
When Ferguson’s team lost out deservedly ; he cast smug glances at sour grapes instead of admitting that he had been second best. He refused to lose face , at least in front of the camera , but he must have screamed his throat hoarse at the players in the locker room. In retrospect , we may say that his attitude worked as he is now sitting at the very top of the stack , looking down at other managers ; condescendingly suggesting to spit gum on them.
