Ans: My life's mission is to train each and every Indian in Mind Mapping ! I am Mumbai's First Mind Map Trainer and have done almost 100 seminars on Mind Mapping .
A Mind Map is a revolutionary thinking tool invented by Tony Buzan . Tony Buzan is a world renown leading authority on the brain and learning. He was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize last year ! I have been trained in Mind Mapping by Tony Buzan himself ! I ranked first in an international creativity contest organized by ThinkBuzan in Dubai recently.
I have an experience of 15 years in corporate life with Benchmark Mutual Fund - now Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Alliance Capital and Karvy consultants.
2. What is Mind Map?
Ans: A Mind Map is a thinking tool invented by Tony Buzan in the 1960s. It use images, colours and associations and mirrors the way the brain naturally thinks . Students can use it to reduce their revision time by 90 % , enhancing their memory, concentrating better, understanding deeper , note taking , note making , presenting et al. Students who had been labelled as " stupid " have been labelled as " geniuses " after using Mind Maps .Businesses can use it very profitably. 3. Why did you choose this after being in corporate life for fifteen years ?
Ans: Passion ! I was always passionate about the brain, memory, creativity , success psychology et al since childhood. I have been reading books written by Tony Buzan, Anthony Robbins, Ed de Bono, Mark Mccormark, Steven Covey et al and finally reached a point where I wanted to not just use what I had learnt but to spread the word
4. How is it beneficial for students?
Ans: Anything that a students needs to do to excel - read, understand, analyze, concentrate, memorize, generate ideas etc can be enhanced substantially with Mind Maps . A student using Mind Maps Vs a student not using one is like comparing a Mercedes with a rickshaw ! I would like to encourage students to use Mind Maps immediately . 5. Till now which was the most memorable mind map seminar taken by you?
Ans: Every seminar is a memorable one . Recently I did a seminar at the 5th Internatioanal Innovation Summit in Indira institute of Management in Pune which had over 500 people - a mixture of corporate and students. There are seminars which are special as they were attended by people from IIT, IIM and Harvard.
6. If someone wants to make a career out of it what are the skills required ?
Ans: One of the most critical things is FOCUS. Decide what you want to do and burn all boats !
