Structure of AAO Exam

Written test: This is an objective multiple type choice test which has four sections which carries 140 marks. The total time allotted for this section is 2 hours

Reasoning Ability

General Knowledge
Current Affairs
Descriptive paper: It includes essay test and comprehension test and it carries 50 marks. The test should be completed within 1 hour.

Interview: The applicant will be called for an interview only if he/she had secured high marks. It also depends on the number of vacancies.

Reasoning Ability Test

This test ensures the thinking ability of the candidate. It contains miscellaneous questions which includes figures and drawings. Some of the areas from which questions are asked are:

English Language Test

This test is conducted to check the candidate’s proficiency in English language.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should be of Indian origin. The age of the candidate should be within 21-30 years. Candidate should be a graduate securing a minimum of 55%. The minimum educational requirement for SC/ST candidates is 40%.

How to Apply?

All the candidates are advised to apply online as there are no other modes to apply for the examination. Candidates have to apply online after obtaining the receipt of the payment made at any of the LIC cash collection centers. Otherwise the applications will go invalid. The candidates those who are eligible to apply can login to the official website of LIC (jobs.licindia.co.in) for successfully submitting the application form. After submitting the applications online the candidates are provided with a unique registration number which has to be used for all future references.
