Delhi Government is waiting to end General Election to issue awaiting Tenders for 500 Q shelters bus.
Delhi Government is egerly waiting for general election to be end. Because of the election the Delhi Government not able to issue long awaiting 500 modern stainless steel bus - Queue Shelters across the city.
The government had earlier developed and modernised over 1,500 Bus Q Shelters ahead of the Commonwealth Games in 2010.
This tender goes private-public partnership PPP model. The Delhi government will now again issue fresh tender for new 500 Q shelter buses.
“But many of those locations included areas in rural and outer Delhi, which are not feasible for advertising. No proposals were received because of that reason. The project will now be re-tendered. We have removed all the non-feasible locations from the tender proposal,” a senior Delhi government official said.
The official said the Transport department is waiting for the Model Code of Conduct to be revoked, following which it will float tenders to start improvement work on nearly 500 more bus shelters.
