Death penalty?

Should death penalty be abolished? No individual or the govt themselves have the right to kill any person in the name of death penalty! Certainly against human rights! Probably a life term imprisonment is the best punishment!

What are your views? Are you against death penalty..?

I think it is unnecessary to have death penalties, giving a life time jail is a worse punishment for the criminal than death penalty, he suffers for years to come in that case, which I think is way better than just killing that criminal and kind of "saving" him.

I remember reading somewhere that to inforce the death penalty in the US the state pays 10 times more then improsoning someone. So that could be counted as an economic argument against it.
I don't really believe in the death penalty, I think it is morally wrong for the state to kill a person. Especially since in many cases individuals have been sentenced while innocent

I assume this will be the view of the general mass in any country, but even now we have death penalty in India. There are still loads of arguments going about the removal of death penalty. I don't think anyone can justify the the need for death penalty.

But, how would you punish AJMAL KAZAB?

A death penalty or life long sentence with full security and safe heavenly life at jail?
