Day 2 : Insight 2015 - IIMA Event updates​


Day 2 of Insight 2015 saw a riveting talk by Mr. Ashish Mishra, the MD or Interbrand. As the head of the of the world's leading brand consultancy, his desire to transform Indian brands to the best Global brands was well received by the audience. He emphasized that brands are not just about the logos and slogans but rank amongst the most important assets for a business.

This was followed by an inspiring talk by Mr. Arunachalam Muruganantham, a TIME 100 personality, who spoke about how he took up entrepreneurship to ensure that his wife doesn't have to choose between buying family meals and monthly "supplies". He spoke about his invention, the household napkin forming machine, which helps create quality napkins for rural woman. He touched upon how it has helped many in rural India overcome traditional unhygienic practices around menstruation and asked the future generation to focus on value creation rather than selfish pursuit for money.

The Social Beats workshop talked about the importance of using analytics in social media. They emphasised on the need to analyse consumer patterns and modify online marketing strategy based on the insights derived. Such efforts will ensure the success of a campaign over the blind focus to maximise the number posts on various social media platforms.

AC Nielsen, a globally renowned marketing research firm conducted a workshop on 'how to break into the minds of customers', a talk that was very well received. The workshop was centred around what consumers want, innovations in terms of new product development, best ways to reach consumers, Nielsen Neuro and enhancing market share for products using market research techniques.

The evening saw a colourful performance by the Nrityavali group, with the weather and outdoor setting making for a perfect Saturday evening for the audience present. The performance went on for about an hour and was well received by all in the audience.

Disconnect, the design and culture marketplace set the stage for a pleasant and perfect evening for everyone at Insight. The unique design showcase, set amidst splendid decor was a treat for the audience.
