Cure of Terrorism?

Terrorism nearly a decade ago, was only India's problem, but after 9/11 it became a global issue. The Americans since 9/11 are fighting in Afghanistan & Iraq using the "force" they have.

This year, India has been shaken by terrorists quite a number of times (Banglore, Ahmedabad, Delhi and Mumbai)

It seems as if terrorism is immune to "force".

Can anyone suggest any other way of eradicating terrorism other than "force"?
 
I held USA responsible for it to a very large extent.

C "Pak not USA behind the attack", which I posted in Hot Debates Section few days back and secondly read todays Times of India, various articles.

I dont think US is anymore fighting Terrorism in Afghanistan n Iraq.
Infact Iraq was a big mistake George Bush told media couple of days back.

The US policies and stands is full of betraying the world.

In todays Times of India Pak military person says we can attack in a short notice of 10 minutes, if India attacks Pakistan. All their missiles are targeted right on our cities.

Another page u'l find article how incapable and ill equipped Pak police are to fight the militants.

And even if India boasts of having larger military force, more capable, it will all turn useless, if we attack Pak militant camps only. Terrorists there can take control of their army and politics and straight away launch the Nuclear Missiles. India for sure wud never press the button first, rightly so. But just like the innocent lives we lost, yet again that will be a great loss to mankind.

Here, just for replacing a CM u take so many days. What about anything else. We live in unauthorised glory.

Only the US & United Nations can fight terrorism, if they want to. And it is waging full fledged attack on Pak, know plenty of Innocents wud loose lives in Pak But if u selectively attack, results wud be futile. Infact the bombardings has to be more severe than IN Afghnanistan.

Not against Pakistan as a nation but their Govt. just like ours is as handicapped.

Terrorists dont take time to think, they are very channelised, even if wrongly, they want to kill as many.

Wiping out significant chunk of Pak by US & UN will signify to the other nations in future, not to let use their LAND for breeding hatred and terror else they wud be erased by the other nations for the world peace.

So, even if India on its own goes for military action, we will be risking India itself, as we will go from army action then next action, actually like traditional wars But Pak militants wud simply attack with max destruction in mind very first shot.

Nawaz Sharif had said. even during Kargil his Govt. was prepared for Nuclear attack on India, which no one wants as its against mankind, but terrorist wont think so.

So its upto USA of the world what they actually want. India has to put pressure on them and not submit proofs or like to Pak.

Think as a nation, no one will ever accept that there are terrorists camps on their soil. So Pak Govt. cant be expected to tell the world we have terrorists and we hand over them to u, its class stupidity on part of anyone to think so.

I agree with nimms.. Erradicate religious fanatism would be one of the solutions... however, there are other reasons for terrorism apart from religion. Communists used that tactic widely in some parts of the world without recurring to religion... This is tactic is used by those who cannot prevail in direct confrontation. In some sense it does not differ a lot from just sending troops to some place.. and kill everyone.. after all, the are no rules that apply when waging war or fighting for love. Hence, as a conclusion I should say that war in itself sucks. However, wars have to be fought... because as long as there a men living in this planet, there will always be war. So, the only alternative is perhaps that one of the sides wins and rules.
 
i agree with nimms..these terrorists are some religious fanatics who enjoy killing innocent people in the name of religion..just eradicate all the religions and treat every one equal..but i think this is practically impossible so everyone needs to understand that religion has always advised to be united..but its to late to make the terrorists understand all this..some of the countries should come together and bring their forces along collectively for the eradication of the terrorism..
 
I believe the best way to counter terrorism would be by joining the opposite country's economy to our country. There are people in other countries who want to have business relations with India. But only few handful of people who created hatred among each other giving it a name of terrorism are fighting on the name of religion and land. This is simply sick. We must think beyond this.
 
f it is real terrorism then one of the best ways to counter is simply by not showing that the event had any impact on you. Terrorist organizations feed off of your reactions basically, and the lack of one would lead them to believe that their time is wasted. that may cause them to slip on the next plot which could lead to a failure and break down in the ranks.

Sometimes it isn't terrorism like we claim though. Don't get me wrong I hope those little bastards burn, but I'm speaking out of love for our brothers and sisters who are fighting them. Just like with family I've got their backs right or wrong. That being said these "terrorists" are more along the lines of Patriots where they come from. To them we are the evil invading and oppressive empire.
 
The only cure is to assemble all the nations especially developed nations should forget their cold war and be one power to eliminate the terrorism from the root. Also the countries supporting or helping the terrorist should be banned for any type of trading.
