A local court convicted eight former Union Carbide India Limited (UCIL) official's in the Bhopal Gas tragedy case and awarded them two years imprisonment and also were fined Rs 1 lakh each by Chief Judicial Magistrate.
But this was not that happened with the culprits, all the convicts applied for and got bail for a surety of Rs 25000 each.
