Our Company Profile
? Name – AMAP SUVIDHA Finance Co. Ltd. ? Year established – 1995 ? Business (Key Service) – Largest Credit facilitator (over the past decade). ? President/CEO – Mr. Sham C. Rao. ? Number of employees – 1500 ? Registered as – Public Ltd. Co. ? Place of Incorporation – Mumbai, India ? Large network and reach ? Interest rates offered on loans 13% ? Avg. annual PAT – 100 crore
Some important statistics
? ? ? ? NPA(1998) – 2% Rate of Interest(1998) – 18% NPA (Dec-07) – 25% Rate of Interest(Dec-97) – 13%
Main reason for the negative growth
? Reckless allotment of loans to achieve targets. ? High allotment rate V/s Low recovery rate of loans in respect of time. ? Inefficient recovery department ? Rising number of defaulters. ? Growing NPA and bad debts. ? Declining Clientele.
To improve the situation
We need to increase our revenue by : ? Making our Recovery dept. more efficient. ? Enhancing our reputation in the market.
But the question is……..
WHAT would give debtors in Mumbai sleepless nights?
Eunuchs moonlighting as recovery agents. ? Picture this! A group of transsexuals congregating outside a flat, and in loud baritone voices, asking the debtors to cough up their dues. ? More than 60 per cent of the time, the debtor would capitulate due to embarrassment and make good on the debts.
Consider these facts
? ? ? ? ? ? ? Did you know India has a large population of eunuchs/transsexuals? - at least a million. A transsexual has a male body, but the spirit is female. They make their living as beggars, prostitutes and by removing "bad luck“. Traditionally they go shop to shop and beg by clapping loudly. Many of the Eunuchs engage in paid sexual activities, which is not officially accepted by their society. Removing "bad luck“ - that they come and sing and dance at house warming, weddings and at the birth of a new born. People have to pay them high prices as they are unwilling to run the risk of their curse at the start of a marriage or when moving in a new house. They're feared around India, because they are believed to have occult powers. They are an underground society. They have their own rules They have their own government. Those who do not obey them are thrown out of their community.
?
? ?
?
No one becomes a transsexual by choice!!!
? ? ? No support from their family, friends. No status, they may have otherwise held in society. In some cases by knowing that their son is a transsexual, the parents themselves ill treat him and send him out of the house as having such a person in the family is an abomination to their family prestige. They prefer to live in cities as in the villages and small towns they are easily being identified and put out of the society. In the cities they have various access to earn more money. They are fighting for human rights and against violation of their rights . They have no access to education, jobs and normal rights. They have no choice but to resort to begging. They dress up like females and wear cheap rouge, kajal, powder and lipstick and roam the busy marketplaces in groups, terrorizing pedestrians, hustling for ten or a hundred rupees.
? ? ? ? ?
?
Most Importantly……
? ? No one becomes a eunuch by choice. "Like any fellow citizen, we also have the capabilities to serve the country and want to contribute to the progress of the nation. We too have dreams to move forward, acquiring knowledge through formal education. Unfortunately, the denial of adequate opportunities disheartens us..." - Priya Babu, a transsexual from Theni district. "We are sexually handicapped and should be treated like any other physically handicapped person," said Renee Kapoor of the All India Eunuch Conference.
?
? Don't you think that it is high time to offer a place for them in society?
Our Action plan
? ? ? ? Employ the services of eunuchs to recover debts from the habitual defaulters into coughing up. They will be trained and groomed to recover debts from the debt dodgers by using negotiation tactics, non violence (i.e. no force will be used) Their very presence at the doorstep will be enough to embarrass the debtor in front of his neighbors due to which he succumbs and is induced to pays the dues. All this would be perfectly legal and above board. Part of the protocol during a recovery would be to inform the local police station that a recovery proceeding is in progress.
Benefits of employing the transsexuals
? They are Persuasive. ? Conditioned to demanding money through a lifetime of begging. ? Quite healthy and sturdy in body structure due to which they can do the “on-field” job well. ? They would prove to be more sincere and hard working. ? Can prove quite adept at their new job. ? In India, they are believed to possess powers of the occult and their curses are also feared. ? Most civilised defaulters are ashamed to find eunuchs at their doorstep.
Benefits of employing the transsexuals (cont….)
? Most of the Indians are having a superficial belief that if a Eunuch blesses it is like God blessing them directly. ? To get rid of them, who have the habit to hang around until paid money, we expect the defaulters to pay up. ? The superstition and the embarassment can be exploited to good effect as we battle to reach our annual debt collection target. ? It will enhance the reputation of the company by giving employment to the a socially challenged group and by increasing the revenue.
How will it help the third sex???
? An employee status – they will be on the company’s pay roll. ? A secured job. ? A minimum fixed monthly income. ? Medical benefits that other employees get. ? Other social benefits. ? Retirement benefits like Pension. ? No need for activities like begging or prostitution. ? An improved std. of living. ? An improved image in the society and an opportunity to prove themselves.

Conclusion..
For centuries their very thought has caused a smile ……Yet their own life is full of sorrow. They have been known to dispel bad luck …..Though their fate is damned forever. No function is complete without their blessings ……Yet they are the cursed lot. They welcome every newborn kid ….Yet they consider their own birth a curse. Their curse is believed to be powerful ……..Yet they are the most powerless
