Criminal justice should focus more on rehabilitation.

Hello guys,

Rehabilitation is the most valuable ideological justification for imprisonment, for it alone promotes the humanizing belief in the notion that offenders can be saved and not simply punished. Desert (retributive) theory, on the other hand, sees punishment as an end in itself, in other words, punishment for punishment’s sake.

Well I agree criminal justice should focus on rehabilitation. But these factors should be kept in mind-
1) Age of the the criminal.
2)Criminal records in history if any.
3)The reason for crime.
These above factors should be considered because sometimes rehabilitation can be a eassy escape for a criminal from the punishment he deserves. If the criminal is minor then his age,the reason for crime all such factors should be considered. If he is a major criminal then he shouldn't be reconsidered for rehabilitation.
Criminal justice should understand be able to analyse where and when rehabilitation is applicable or required.

Rather than relaxing around, they will be trained anything they may get out to the actual life and be a successful part in society. Guaranteed there must be some retribution, they performed something incorrect, but being ruined with an area to rest and three meals daily will do little.
