'Credit crunch' aid for graduates (BBC News)

well friends recession impacts looms at large, we are facing the same scenario at IBS Bangalore campuses. 50% of students have been placed out of a batch of 400 with a package which is substantially low. the rest 50% are still there in the placement process which has been extended till end of march 09. companies are still coming but the packages seems to be dissappearing. i am still not placed till last year 90 companies visited our campuses. this year the no is very low around 20-30 visited till now. our college has started some certificate course for students not placed with a view that the future holds good for all. lets hope we can use this time to prepare ourselves.
