I don't know whether u r first year/ second year. Normally, In second year, you must do a PROJECT in your specialization areas. It's just like training. Now, mainly concentrate now to your studies - find & do all the ways - you can improve your career. It's the base. Thats why. Rather, while doing a project in any concern, by side, train urself with the organisation - the necessities that the org. need in its employee...
Some Works for improving yourself.

Prepare a Time Management Worksheet for yourself - fix your appointments - do the appointments as per your schedule.
Do side-by-side some many MINI-PROJECTS as you can for the companies you are interested. Prepare a questionnaire - make a survey . It will be useful for you in the future.
Participate in as many Management Events as you can - Business Quiz, Paper Presentations, Adz up, Best Manager.
Importantly, Develop your network of Contacts. When you are going to any events - have more friends - professor's contacts.
As far Communication, Take seminars in your class. Learn 5 New Words in English everyday.
Nothing to work as much work hard. Do this things. This Practice will help you to get expertized.
You will realize yourself more strong with this expertized knowledge in your specialization at the end of studies.
