Consumerism in Mobile segment -oxymoron

India's mobile subscriber base is growing rapidly and the call rates are getting cheaper than a post card.Sounds good.But looking deep into the numbers props up a question.Is there any consumerism in the Mobile sector?I guess its a plain "No".Most people have concerns with their mobile bills.Queries are not answered properly.Adding to the grieveances is the network problem.Mobile operators are not upgradging their networks.Most of the time the subscriber is not be reachable.Mobile operators dont have transparent process.So customers keep changing their operators very often.Roaming charges is another dark area .So "Are the mobile operators really serving their customers" is a million dollar question?
 
i agree with your views. Indian mobile market has become very competitive with too many players. There has to be consolidation in this sector else not many companies will be able to survive
