A recent study by Akamai Technologies revealed that China remained the single largest source of all cyber attacks worldwide clocking a 33% of the total pie. The U.S accounted for 13% of all those attacks followed by Russia at 4.7%.
Talking of asymmetry..the top ten countries in the report accounted for 72% of all the attack traffic out of which a little more than 50% of the attack traffic was contributed by China, The U.S and Russia alone.
In another tracked parameter, the global average connection speed decreased by about 7% to 2.8 Mbps. While South Korea continued to top this list at 14.7Mbps of average connection speed. It was closely followed by Japan (10.7 Mbps) and Hong Kong (8.9 Mbps)..
