Children's Moral

I sometimes wonder if parents do not teach their children what morals are, and how you need to respect people different. I have seen so many parents that allow their children to show little to no respect for elders, authority figures and so on. This rant could go on forever, but to keep it short - have we forgotten how to teach our kids these simple things?

I am concerned with parents not teaching their children to respect everybody around them - young, old, or even their own age. Challenging authority isn't always a matter of disrespect by the way, sometimes it works out for the best.

What I am more concerned about is parents not teaching their children to respect themselves more than anything.

Hi Dimpy,
Yes what you have told is absolutely right. I feel these days parents are focussing too much on developing the skills of the kid rather than imparting morals and values. They hardly get to spend time with them which is definitely one of the main reasons for this kind of trend. Its high time parents should read bed time stories to kids!!!

Moral Parenting these days is a task in many ways because of the overwhelmingly advanced mind sets and ideas that the new generation child portrays.
