Mobile phones keep children safer, as it is easier for parents to stay in touch with their children and for children to contact someone in an emergency. Through calls and texts, parents can know where their child is and be reassured that he or she is safe, all the while their children know they are never more than a phone call away from help.

I think cellphones should only be allowed once you enter college, because when you are in school parents don't have to worry, they don't need to know where the children are as bunking is extremely difficult during school days.

Having a cellphone at an early age distracts children a lot, specially since these days a lot of applications are there and children surf phones for games and movies etc. Also, it may act as a status symbol during school & the less fortunate students will feel left out and start demanding the same.

Therefore, I am strongly against children having cell phones in schools

They must be given the most basic phone for just dialing and receiving calls. Not smart phones.

i think parents should provide cell phones when children get admission in colleges. And they should also keep an eye on 'billing'.

I am agree with this statement that children can use mobile phones but its parent's responsibility that they should teach their children to use mobile only for good use. I am not agree with that statement that people say that stop your children from these things or keep away from any material. I think if we bound our children and force them not to use this or that, this activity will drop negative impact on our children. We have to be friendly with our children and say them all the points(negative and positive) of each and everything.
