Manchester City's loss earlier at Anfield gave Chelsea an opportunity to get back in the title race but the Blues needed a win at Liberty Stadium.
Their job was made a lot easier in the 16th minute when Chico Flores was sent off for a second bookable offence. From there it looked like Chelsea would be able to run over Swansea but a combination of good defending and poor finishing meant that Chelsea weren't able to get an easy victory. The Blues were made to work hard but midway through the second half, Demba Ba controlled a sublime pass from Nemanja Matic and slotted the ball past Michel Vorm, who should probably have done better to save the shot.
