Day 3 of Chaos ended with a bang. Ace composer Amit Trivedi wood the crowd with his popular renditions such as Emotional Atyachaar and Pareshaan and left the crowd asking for more.
Day 4 saw the music events team complete two major events - Blizzards of Rock and Bollywood Solos. The senior team comprised of IIMA students Aviral Srivastava, Saurabh Jangpangi, Siddhant Goenka and Varun Varma while the junior team included Keshav Dabriwal, Nitisha Sethia, Rajat Shubhra Shaw and Rohit Mitta. The event partner for Blizzzrds of Rock was Blue Tree Studios, Ahmedabad and the media partner was Score magazine.
Blizzards of Rock, a rock band competition, had a rollicking start on the 25th of January. It was judged by Mr. Uddipan Sarmah of Blue Tree Studios and Mr. Dev Patel, two eminent rock musicians of Ahmedabad. 'The Fourth Elysium' from Kolkata won the event clinching a cash prize of INR 50000 and an EP recording deal with Blue Tree studios. 'Cynic Bliss' from Jabalpur were the runners-up, winning a cash prize of INR 25000 and a recording deal with Blue Tree studios. 'Melovedine' from Lucknow won the third place and a cash prize of INR 10000.
The Bollywood Solos event was judged by Mr. Hemant Bhatt and Mrs. Saswati Bhattacharya, accomplished musicians of the classical genre associated with the Saptak music academy. Akshita Patel emerged the winner after an intense competition and won a prize of INR 8000. Vinay, a first year IIMA student, won the second prize. Rohita, ward of one of the staff members of IIM-A, received special mention for her immense talent despite her young age.
The Informal event The Last One Standing concluded on the 26fh, it spanned two days and had five rounds. The first round had more than 100 on the spot registrations. Various games like block building, Jenga, Pictionary, Rooster Fighting and Fastest Mouth First were used to select the winners. Prizes worth 5000 and goodies were distributed. Everyuth, Zebronics and Spykar were the sponsors for the event.
During Mr. and Ms. Chaos, the participants enthralled the judges and the audiences alike with their wit, personality and charm. The event 'Do You Remember' saw couples discovering how much they knew about each other through a series of interesting activities.
In the Arts category, Day 4 of Chaos saw events such as the 'Paper Cup Diaries' where the participants used their imaginations to paint their stories on little paper cups. Other events included a T-Shirt painting competition and a Spray painting workshop. The winning entries were a combination of creativity and meticulousness at its best.
The major literary events for the day were the JAM and the IIMA Surprise Quiz, they engaged the participants with their challenging and exciting questions.
Finally the day ended on a high note with performances by acclaimed singer Sunidhi Chauhan and N-Sonic - the famous pop band from South Korea. With this ending, Chaos maintained its stature one of the most popular and looked forward to cultural festival in the country.
