Chaos 2011 Updates
Ahmedabad, 6th Jan 2011 Chaos is back..and back with a bang!! For the first time this year, Chaos, IIMA’s annual cultural festival, will have an international star performance and ProNites across all the four days (Jan 20 – 23, 2011)
Bollywood Night - Famous Bollywood singer KK will be the star attraction for the Bollywood Night at Chaos this year. KK, who shot to fame with ‘Tadap Tadap’ from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and ‘Yaaron’ from Rockford, will be singing his Bollywood as well as private album hits. Actress and danseuse Isha Shervani and her troupe will put up the opening act for the night with some sizzling dance performances.
Rock Nite – A Led Zeppelin tribute band based out of Southern California, Led Zepplica will be the first international star performance at Chaos. The night’s opening performance will be a performance by the winners of the ‘Blizzards of Rock’ competition, followed by Kryptos, a Bangalore-based band of international repute. DJ Akbar Sami , winner of All Asian DJ Championship and Channel [V]'s Best Indian Club DJ, will set the stage on fire as he spins his famous remixes which have got the crowd grooving for so many years now.
Classical Nite – Ghazal Maestro Shri Jagjit Singh ji will ensure a grand opening to Chaos on the first night of the event. Popularly known as the ‘Ghazal King’, he is also a composer and music director and is a ‘Padma Bhushan’ awardee.
Choreo and FashP Nite – The best teams from colleges across the country will battle it out to be crowned the champions of the Choreo (dance) and FashP (fashion show )event . This nite will also see a performance from American dance group Havikaro. As an added attraction for all theatre and drama enthusiasts, veteran theatre personality Makarand Deshpande would be doing a play ‘JOKE’ at the RJM auditoriums. This play is written and directed by Makarand himself and stars Makarand, Nivedita Bhattacharya and Kshitee Jog among others. For passes and other details, please visit iima-chaos.com
