Well its just about 4 months for CAT '06. The D'day being 19th nov. In the next four months you would be getting lots of information from classes, tutors , frnds about cat, mebbe importance of specific section and how to manage your timings..!!

So this thread is specifically to discuss the difficulties you may be facing currently and piece of information you would like to share (rumours you hear) that being from unknown sources we could try to get an official statement on the same..

Well one information i would like to share is did you know CAT '06 is going to be a 2.30 hr test YES that is true. The cat is going to start at 10.30 till 1.00 and the reporting time is 10. What can you make out from this information, well for all those who thought we gonna be choosy in picking the easy ones nd leaving the rest its goona be trouble, coz if the time criteria has been increased and question have been decreased that means the difficulty level is going to increase tremendously.

An expected varation can be seen in negative marking scheme..!

So probably CAT'06 is going to bring you new bunch of suprises

when will the cat forms be available??

Is the filling of the forms online this time? or do we still have to get it from state bank of india?

Check the bulletin from Bhavin's post.
 
1 more section is also going to be added .. I hear its the RC section . My guess though is GK section ;)

The last day of submission is 9th Sept 06...!!
As per the current information there are no online forms but cannot be sure until there is a formal announcement on the same.

u can apply online too...

That i think is not there... although i am not fully sure about it

everything is said about the conclusion and after events but from which date will the CAT forms be available is the question. If anyone has any info on that please tell us.

That information has not been issued yet.. but you dont have to worry as it wil be published in newspaper when it is done so or do keep on visiting this thread and u'll surely get the info on the same

Most probably the official CATnotification abt d forms etc will come in tomorrow's paper..
 
cat forms are already available..
they were to b available frm 17th july..
hi guys bout the new section bein rc or gk.... the bulletien mention the presence of only 3 sections.

You can never expect anything frm the IIMs. Everything will only be clear on D-Day. Till that time all we can do is study.

if one reads cat bulletin clearly,it has been mentioned that there will be only and only three sections in the paper.so i don't think there should be any kind of doubt regarding no. of sections.and it is very unlikely that G.K. will be a part of any section

Guyz this is already clear and posted twice above. Please do not hype and create confusion among people a repost on the same would be considered a spam and member will be warned for the same.

For Records : Cat has still 3 sections only time has increased to 2.30.
 
hi all i am also prepn for cat 2006.i wanna know what all forms should i fill?
i am aiming for the top 20 mba institutes only.
when do these forms come(month)?
also i am interested in getting into IMT GHAZIABAD and supposing i get a call from them,so will i have to fill their form only after that or will i have to fill their form earlier,meaning before writing CAT??
plz people help me out.
 
hey guyz this is pretty much the last call for all students giving cat exmz..! Though the submission date is in september you have forms being closed on 17th thursday at all UTI banks and Post Offices. All those who have been busy preparing for cat and forgotten to get the forms you can get it from www.iimcat2006.com till tommorrow 21st Monday...

I am posting this coz one of my frndz jst forgot to get 1 form and wz stressed out knwin it was closed on thursday..!! So guyz who have forgotten this is pretty much the last call for CAT '06:big_grin:
