Campaign not to use AC and going Green

hey guys,

Summer is fast on its way and has reached most parts of the city. so with the world going green and each individual is trying to contribute in their own way, i have pledged not to use Air Conditioning in my home and instead use Electric Fans whenever necessary and turning off otherwise, there by cutting carbon emission.

Do you know, with the increased use of Air conditioning, especially in residential areas (of course it has become unavoidable to not to use Ac in offices as it is fully computerized), the carbon emission and emission of CFC component has gone up by 43% in the urban areas which actually has become the 2nd contributor to the green house emission. this has lead to the increase in atmospheric temperature by 5 degree celcius. and that is why we feel extremely burnt out when we move out of an AC room to outdoors.

so guys, what are your contribution to save earth, mother nature and most of all yourself???

Summer season has reached us in March itself and the temperature has crossed 40+.

So it's a good initiative to save electricity.

it is easier to say. but, in the places like chennai, you can not even imagine the midday with out AC during the peak summer time, may and june.It is not really possible to avoid AC's. But, can reduce the emission of CF by preferring the latest eco friendly AC's and replacing the old one's with new AC's.

As Management students i positively think the word impossible is word which should not be in our dictionary at all. the logic is simple. we were not born with AC lying over our head and are not going to die with the same and so why not live with out it as well. i think it is the least we can do in terms of saving the atmosphere there by our planet.
even though new technologies are emerging, the basic principle behind the gadget is give in cool air by fanning out hot air outside the premises. so there you go......
