Q1. Did you have a panel to interview you?
Ans:Yes, A panel of two interviewers.
Q2. What were the questions asked to you in all the rounds?
Ans:The first round was basic aptitude. Second round was psychometric test. Third was the GD and fourth was the Technical+HR interview. None of them was an elimination round and cumulative scores were considered for final selection. GD topic was FDI in Retail. Interview questions were mostly technical.
Q3. Which was the most difficult question to answer?
Ans:Technical interview round was the toughest where questions were asked from every subject of HR. There were questions asked from syllabus not covered by the end of fourth trimester, but when I didn’t know the answer, I told the interviewer that it wasn’t taught to us and showed enthusiasm to know the answer and learn from him. He seemed very happy to share his knowledge and teach me things I didn’t know.
Q4. Was the interview stressful?
Ans: The questions created some stress as too many were asked but the interviewers made me feel comfortable.
Q5. Where are you going to get placed?
Ans:I have not been informed about it yet.
Q6. How was the experience?
Ans:I used to find it extremely difficult to speak in a group and thought I can never clear a GD. It was when one of my professors said “if you have a point you will definitely put it across in GD coz it is like do or die situation for you”, I realized what I was lacking is knowledge on the topic. It required a lot of preparation from my end as I had zero knowledge on current affairs and general knowledge. I collected over a 100 topics from internet; prepared documents listing points for and against each of them and read them over and over again. I initiated the GD and spoke well. I think if I can clear GD, anybody can!
Q7. Would you like to give some tips to students who would go into your profile?
Ans: I used to revise HR subjects and GD topics every day, was thorough with technical knowledge and almost knew everything by heart. That is why, one day before the interview I was very relaxed. I think its only my preparation and hard work that earned me the job.
