Beauty with Brains-Koyal Rana
Jaipur girl Koyal Rana who won the Femina Miss India 2014 title claims that Miss World is her next aim and she will work hard for it and if Bollywood offers come in her way she won’t mind accepting them.
Koyal who was crowned on Saturday at the 51st edition of the beauty pageant told that she looks up to Sushmita Sen for inspiration and also says that the former beauty queen has achieved much in her life. She is inspired by the kind of charity work Sushmita Sen does and she says that Susmita is the perfect example of beauty with brains. When asked what about films..?
She said that currently she is focusing on Miss World but if she gets good film offers she wouldn’t mind grabbing those, but at the moment it’s too early for her to decide on anything as she is focusing more on the Miss World beauty pageant rather than anything else.
She is born in Jaipur but she is raised in Delhi. She also says that her education is of the same importance for her as the beauty pageants are. She is currently pursuing her Bachelors of Business degree from Delhi.
Among with Koyal Rana the first and second runner ups were Jhataleka Malhotra from Mumbai and Gail Nicole Da Silva from Goa. At the beauty pageant the judges were Actors Abhay Deol, Jacquiline Fernandes, Malaika Arora Khan and ace fashion designer Manish Malhotra.
The highlight of the evening’s performance was Shahid Kapoor and YoYo Honey Singh’s performance. The event was hosted by Ritiesh Deshmukh. Sonakshi Sinha’s tribute to yesteryear actress Zeenat Aman was commendable as well who was later felicitated with a trophy by the ‘Dabanng’ actress.
