Eligibility Criteria for B Sc Home Science program

The basic qualification required to apply for B Sc home science is a pass in twelfth or higher secondary course of the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination Board. Those with home science as specialization in +2 are given special preference.

The candidates opting for a course in Home Science need to study the basics of physics along with chemistry and biology in the first year of their graduation. This is the main reason for keeping the course open only for science graduates in some institutions. The percentage of marks needed for a student to pursue the course is 50% while some institutes also take students with a lesser percentage.

Admission Procedure for B Sc Home Science program

Candidates need to attend the qualifying entrance exam for admission in B Sc home science. There are many institutions, where the candidates can seek admission based on the marks scored by the candidates for their previous course.
