A system that traces its origins to the selection process of spies during World War II by the Office of Strategic Services (the US wartime agency that later became the CIA)

It was in 1956 that psychologist Douglas Bray implemented the first industrial use of assessment centres as part of a research study
“The objective would be to arrive at an informed decision on the strengths and weaknesses of individuals, usually in relation to suitability for specific jobs
