Asian equities started the week lower with escalating violence in Iraq weighing on sentiment.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was down 0.16 percent or 38.32 points at 23,280.85. Japan’s Nikkei shed 0.66 percent or 99.68 points at 14,998.16.

South Korea’s Seoul Composite shed 0.22 percent or 4.34 points at 1,986.51. Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted was down 0.13 percent or 12.07 points at 9,184.32.

Singapore’s Straits Times was flat at 3,291.99. China’s Shanghai Composite was flat at 2,071.26.
 
Asian stocks were mixed on Tuesday as investor risk appetite was dealt a triple blow over developments in Iraq, Ukraine and Argentina.

China%u2019s Shanghai Composite declined 0.63 percent or 13.07 points at 2,072.91. Hong Kong%u2019s Hang Seng shed 0.40 percent or 93.65 points at 23,207.02.

Japan%u2019s Nikkei rose 0.54 percent or 81.27 points at 15,014.56. Singapore%u2019s Straits Times was down 0.40 percent or 13.28 points at 3,276.98.

South Korea%u2019s Seoul Composite added 0.22 percent or 4.37 points at 1,997.96. Taiwan%u2019s Taiwan Weighted was flat at 9,210.60.

Indian ADRs ended mixed on Monday.
In the IT space, Wipro gained 0.87 percent at USD 11.63.
Infosys rose 0.59 percent at USD 54.30 per ADR.
In the banking space, ICICI Bank shed 2.35 percent at USD 48.97.
HDFC Bank declined 1.1 percent at USD 46.81.
In the other sectors, Tata Motors added 1.47 percent at USD 38.75.
Dr Reddy%u2019s Laboratories was down 0.84 percent at USD 40.08.

China%u2019s Shanghai Composite shed 0.31 percent or 6.42 points at 2,060.28. Hong Kong%u2019s Hang Seng was flat at 23,192.26.

Japan%u2019s Nikkei added 0.48 percent or 71.37 points at 15,047.34. Singapore%u2019s Straits Times was flat at 3,272.06.

South Korea%u2019s Seoul Composite declined 0.33 percent or 6.66 points at 1,994.89. Taiwan%u2019s Taiwan Weighted was up 0.20 percent or 18.04 points at 9,258.64.
 
Asian stocks were mixed on Friday as concerns over Iraq overshadowed another record close on Wall Street overnight.

China%u2019s Shanghai Composite shed 0.42 percent or 8.47 points at 2,015.27 while Hong Kong%u2019s Hang Seng was up 0.18 percent or 40.94 points at 23,208.67.

Japan%u2019s Nikkei rose 0.13 percent or 20.49 points at 15,381.65. Singapore%u2019s Straits Times was flat at 3,267.13.

South Korea%u2019s Seoul Composite declined 0.97 percent or 19.33 points at 1,972.70. Taiwan%u2019s Taiwan Weighted was flat at 9,313.98.
