Are the Champions Trophy pitches sub-standard?

The pitches used for the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy have come in for much criticism, with no team managing to get past the 200-run mark in the last three matches played so far.

The pitch at the Brabourne stadium in Mumbai has seen bowlers dominate completely. In the first match played on Saturday, Sri Lanka shot out the West Indies for a paltry 80 and then, on Monday, New Zealand bowled out South Africa for 108 after posting a mere 195 all out.

GOOD THREAD...VISHAL....

I also want to discuss this problem on mp....

I think the international matches with top 10 teams of the world r came in india with gr8 practice, n they got the wicket to play, whch was useless for batsmen............................only bowlers can get success there....

that's what happened ... thhe upsets in 1st round matches ... btwn nz n saf, nz unexpectedly win ... where as another big upset was the loss of australia ... wi beaten aus by merely 10 runs on bowling paradise CCI wicket ... with gr8 performance by Jerome Taylor by picking up a hat-trick ... and weak team of the top 6 teams of the world, in today's stage, pakistan harshly beaten Sri Lanka by 4 wkts ... thanks to Abdul Razzaq ... played without inzy, shoaib n asif ..... also srilanka thrashed westt indies by taking their 10 scalps in just 80 runs...........!!!

i think in Mumbai, such matches should not be played ... even icc will not be happy aftr this dramatic results ... they have to rethink now on where to play final of Champions Trophy 2006 ... i think Ahmedabad is good pitch to play, which helps both the batsmen as well as bowlers.........here (in Mumbai - wankhede or brabourne) 200 is the score like 400 in Johanceburg .........

so that's my opinion ...come on guyz .... reply ......
