Are media channels running out of news?

I saw almost all the English news channels talking about the Aish-Abishek engagement close two days (Sunday and Monday).I'm jus wondering is that such an important news to occupy the headlines?I don't say that the news shouldn't be telecasted. But pondering over the same news sometimes makes you to get irritated.

This is again another example of media blowing a trivial matter

Innumerour news channels running twenty fours a day can't have something that hits with audience in every news telecast so they keep louding the same banjo over n over friends ........Just keep focus on CNN and BBC. Atleats you will have some quality news there.

Seconds that.

Also CNBC is a good channel for people who are keen on sharpening their investment skills.

its a media circus man. they'r gettin astrologers n numerologists to hav discussions on what the perfect date wud be. they get pandits to say what mantra aishwarya recited to have got her wish fulfilled. man is it ever amusing.
cmon guys laughter is the best medicine take it as a good laugh.
on a more serious note yeah der is a lot more u cud look at to avoid the madness.

Now ur talkin.. do u realize wot its gonna be worth????
Trade pundits as they like to call themselves are already estmating the total brand worth of the Bachan family at around rs. 500-600 crore with aish's entry into the khaan daan. n i thot india was a poor country!

Guyz Channels lk CNBC, CNN IBN etc are the BEST! I always stick up to thm.....
Hope to see more TV 18 and co. channels in India.

GBN(Global Broadcasting News) recently opened a public issue,so hope more gud stuff cumin 4 us

News channels r going down & down day-by-day................now i think they r there just for gossips..........mostly from bollywood.................not for real news...!

:nonono:

If we r telling abt Abhishek-Aish marriage news is a real gossip today for various new channels, This is not happened for 1st time................Even in Sourav-Chappel case, Salman-Vivek 41 Phones case , and most stupid news of the year 2006 from news channels was "THE RESCUE OF PRINCE" ................where they just telecasting how prince came up.............how many PRINCEs (childrens) died in the past like that !!!.............

Aaj Tak.............leading news channel also telecasting these crappy events & I didn't expect from this news channel..........................

So guyz, It's better to see CNN, BBC WORLD & CNBC..........now !!!

:)thanku

well , i cant understand why our indian never tried to compete with global news cahannel like BBC? we all know very well even our indian english news channel also knows it but dont try to change...for them rakhi ka swymvar is much important then wt is going around the world?...shame ...

our indian news channels seriously lack news......they r more interested in showing things which r meaningless for most of the viewers.....

Hey Dude,

Totally agree with u ... there is no other channel other than BBC which sometimes gives out some valuable new.

yeaaa thats trueee... a for apple b for ball .. c for cat and d for dooll ... what u mean by ball doesnt mean by waht u mean by doll so wt is a for apple is aint a for aeroplane :P

They ran out of news the moment they decided to become 24-hour news channels. It's not that there's isn't enough stuff happening in the world; it's just that there aren't any takers for what constitutes news in, say, Poland.
So bring on the triviality, I guess. That and the 'Reality show news'.

Not really. There are enough people and enough scams happening around us to NOT make news. And anyways media can CREATE news when they don't find juicy topics.

Well! for every news channel, broadcasting news has become a second priority (although exceptions are still there), making business through getting a good amount of TRP being the first priority. And that could be only possible when they lead in sensationalisation!!
