Are Indian Airplanes really safe ?

I am of the opinion that Indian airplanes are as safe as any other Airlines of a developed country.

Airplanes do encounter snags and it is common to all airplanes all over the world. The maintainence and controls are so high that when you compare to vehicle breakdown on roads this is nil. Of course it has to be since snags in air is a high risk factor.

Coming back to Safety of Airplanes in India, we do have to take statistics of the snags of airplanes all over the world and you will see that we will be almost topping the list of safe category.

It is usual to think negative based on one or two incidents without knowing the same of all aierplanes all over the world.

There are Airlines (National) of many countries that are nor given permit to land in some countries since they are classified as UNSAFE! Do any of our airline come under that category ? NO

Talking about airsafety we need to also consider other factors like Airport infrastructure,Pilot experiences and their workloads.Most vehicles break down on roads not due to the fault of the engine but the contributing factors are the wear and tear on the roads,condition of the road.So there is no point in having a airplane in good condition w/o having a good airbase or experienced pilots.

This is not a first incident, many a times these airplanes are putting people at risk, and have very little doubts whether they are taking these things seriously or not but then people have no option but to travel with their lives at stake, with many incidents i think our planes are not safe anymore.
