Are beauty contests degrading womanhood?

A beauty contest is a platform where woman all over the globe compete for a pageant.

It helps them realise their inner self and confidence and showcase their talent. But at the same time, most of the time many beauty pageants are considered to be vulgar and harm to youngsters. They are even ready to leave their education for such pageants.

What do you think they are degrading womanhood or not??
 
definately NO - Any beauty contest test a women attributes on certain aspects . For example, their intelectual intelligent on how they answer the question posted by the panel members
 
in my views, no..beauty contest are not degrading women...rather they are giving an opportunity to the beautiful ladies to show that they are also equally capable of conquering the world like men..they are setting an example of beauty with brain.
 
It depend on the Youngster how they took this as a vulgar form or see the good thing to build , as you mention the inner growth, self confident, etc.
