anveshi

In order to give due recognition to the inquisitiveness and creativity of management students, we are organizing anveshi - a National Level Paper Presentation Competition on 12th March 2008. This endeavor is taken to provide a platform to the potential researchers and scholars to demonstrate and further hone their skills. The event is expected to be a liaison of corporates, academicians and students.

This is the 2nd edition of anveshi after the resounding success achieved last year. Management students from diverse regions of India would participate to discuss the emerging issues & to explore their thoughts & experiences to achieve a variety of perspectives and thus contributing to the development of the society

Themes
Papers are invited from the students studying in Management institutes across India on the following topics:

Theme 1

1. Urbanization of Rural India-ways and means for Vision India 2020

“A competitive nation is a nation where the rural and the urban divide is reduced to a thin line”.
-Mr. Abdul Kalam, former Indian President.

A nation attains the requisite competitive standards through her growth and developments i.e. by urbanization. As we have about 6 lac villages encompassing the rural arena, the focus of development must invariably be the villages and its empowerment. Some of the projects have already started taking the desired shape such as Rural Telecom which is believed to have targeted around 80 % coverage among the villages. More and more such happenings must be carved out in order to make the Rural come into the limelight and fulfill the great man’s vision of India 2020.

Theme 2

2. Competitive !ndia

India – so much is being said and discussed about our country which has grown manifolds over the last few years. This growth has come not only in economic terms but also has been reflected in rise of intellectual manpower and corporate behemoths, emergence as an attractive investment destination, land of award winning personalities and shining billionaires, emerging tourism destination and overall a place where people want to be and spend their lives. The aim of soliciting papers on this topic is to know and understand more about our country – where do we stand today, are we really a force to reckon with, should we be satisfied with our progress in all the spheres, do we have it in us to be a word superpower, can ours be a place where most of us can read and write, supply of jobs is more than their demand and above all can we have our say on international forums.

The papers should encompass as many issues as possible with a critical examination of facts. Discussion can be about economy, polices, education, employment, health, quality of life, sports, films and any other thing important for us. These papers should be able to carve a bright path for our country and should have it in them to emerge as national policy papers titled Chak De !ndia.

So anveshis may use the above as guidelines and work on not only identifying current trends but also looking at the future development in these areas.
