An Official Party

Employees are always in a dilemma when attending an official party. An official party can be a serious affair as you need to maintain etiquettes. But if you maintain camaraderie with your senior then it can be a fun activity. These events are designed with the intention to improve interaction amongst the employees and offer a fun element.

Most of the office parties are like a business function where one needs to be in disciplined attire and share a few laughs with your colleagues. Thus the employees are in a predicament while attending these functions.

It gives the employees an opportunity to meet eminent people who are not approachable on a routine day. It is a juncture where the employee’s presence becomes apparent. Any act of indecency would be highlighted and it may affect the employee’s career prospects.

Because of the restrictions, employees prefer to avoid these gatherings as attending them is not mandatory. But one must understand that it is important to be present at these events as it helps in improving interactions and enhances visibility.

Also these parties should be made casual as opposed to formal. Parties are meant for relaxing ones mind and take a break from the daily office routine hence it should be different from the official scenario. Fun elements should be included rather than just a dinner and drinks party.

Parties are meant for entertainment and such fun elements should be inculcated in the curriculum as it adds a sense of refreshment.
