MUMBAI: Ambuja Cements posted 168% rise net profit of Rs 877.75 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 compared with Rs 327.49 crore in the same quarter previous year.
The cement major’s total income increased to Rs 151.30 crore for the June quarter from Rs 130.69 crore a year ago.
The company has declared interim dividend of Rs 2.50 per equity share of Rs 2 each.
However, the share was down 1.12% at Rs 137.25 with volume traded at 5,89,808 against two-week average 13,69,571 shares.
