All Smiles for Priety Zinta

All Smiles for Priety Zinta

During the IPL 7 auction, one this was truly unanimous. Bollywood actress Preity Zinta, co-owner of Kings XI Punjab made some smart buying.

This strategy seems to be paying off given the Kings XI Punjab's sensational showing in the first two games of the IPL 7. For them the M factor for the Kings XI Punjab in the IPL 7 season seven seems to be working well. Glenn Maxwell and David Miller are the two juggernauts who again proved to be the match winners for the Punjab-based outfit. Last year Kings XI Punjab failed to qualify for the play-offs but batsmen David a Miller played one of the innings of the tournament in the 51st match against Bangalore, as he smashed 101 off 38 deliveries and included 8 fours and 7 sixes. Coming in at 51-3 in the 8th over and chasing a target of 190 Miller was simply brilliant and led Punjab to a six wicket win with 2 overs remaining.

Kings XI Punjab may not be one of the high-flying teams competing in the Indian Premier League (IPL), their best performance being an appearance in the semi-final of the first season back in 2008, but that clearly has not stopped sponsors from knocking at the club’s door. In a financial boost, Kings XI Punjab on Thursday announced Tata Motors Prima as their title sponsor, which means the players would carry the firm’s name on the front of their shirts. Also on board are Trip Factory, McDowells, Britannia, Pepsi, Flying Machine, Prayag Bath Fittings, Frontline Securities, R N Sports and Amazon team continues its existing relationship with Arise India, ACC Cement, Kingfisher and TK Sports for this year.

Kings XI Punjab co-owner and Bollywood heartthrob Preity Zinta was all smiles on Sunday as her team completed another stunning run chase, against the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League, in Sharjah. Riding on blazing half-centuries from Glenn Maxwell and David Miller, Kings XI Punjab chased down a massive target of 192 with seven wickets in hand and eight deliveries to spare to leave Rajasthan Royals stunned.
