The current education system has many gaps. After 16 yrs of studies a student is still un-employable. To flll the wide gap Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan's Centre for Inter-Disciplinary Studies(BCIDS), was established under the academic guidance of S.P.Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR), on the Bhavan's Campus, Andheri-West.
The centre also closely collaborates with other institutions on the campus, namely-
SPCE-Sardar Patel College of Engineering
SPIT-Sardar Patel Institute of Technology
Bhavan's College of Arts, Science and Commerce
The centre is established to fill a vacuum in today's education system. Recruiters often find that students graduating from colleges are not employable. They lack soft skills, have poor application orientation and a narrow focus.
BCIDS aims at providing education with an interdisciplinary approach, blending management skills, soft skills, technology and functional areas, to produce 'employable 'youngsters'
Currently there are 2 programs
1.Advanced Professional Program in Management (APPM) with specializations in Retail, Financial Services, Marketing Management
2.Advanced Professional Program in Systems Management (APPSM)
The course fee for APPM is 1.4L
The course fee for APPSM is 90K
