(Example of few records in the tab - "Sample reference data" The objective of this functionality is to provide a filtered list of Colleges and branch to the Users based on cutoff for the Year selected and other criteria The User is first asked to enter all the criteria We will need to add a table for Mapping of University to Institutes (or University Codes to Institute Code) We will need to add a table for Institutes to Courses (or Institute Code to Course Code) There will be a Column in the Reference table for Year. Only the records for chosen Year will be selected. Based on Mapping of University to Colleges --> All the "Institute Name" (or "Institute Code") corresponding to the University chosen will be selected This will filter records based on "Course Name" or "Course Code" This will filter records based on "CAP Round"

Concatinating the code values for this 3 fields in sequence "Sex", "Reservation Category" & "Type of Candidate University" we will 10 Reservation Category get the filter value for field "Seat Type". The rows with the chosen Type of Candidate "Seat Type" are selected. 11 University

This will filter the records based on "Cut-off Marks". The rows satisfying criteria for the range of the marks are selected. One important point to be noted is that there could be multiple records based on all the filter criteria (including marks). However only unique records need to be displayed after checking for the lowest marks in each filter criteria (at each numeric value in the range for "Cut-off Marks") Based on the rows selected "Institute Code" will be displayed Based on the rows selected "Institute Name" will be displayed This will be based on the Mapping table for the Institutes to Courses (which will store the status of each course (Unaided, Aided, Minority, etc.). This may not be mandatory. The output will be in form of "College + Branch" list of options to help the user to fill up his option for every round. The User is first asked to enter all the criteria We will need to add a table for Mapping of University to Institutes (or University Codes to Institute Code) We will need to add a table for Institutes to Courses (or Institute Code to Course Code) Based on the Users domicile, he will choose his Home University The user will have a choice to Select his Choice of University. There could be two ways to do this: 1. There are predefined number of university of choices (for example 3 choices) with priority. (Only 1 mandatory) OR 2. There is one records added for every choice a user makes and an additional row added as User selects one University.

(Only 1 mandatory) OR Course/Branch of your 2. There is one records added for every choice a user makes and an additional row added as User selects 8 Choice one Branch. The user will select the CAP round for which the List of Options need to be generated. Initially we may just 9 CAP Round start with CAP Round1 . 10 Sex Prerequisite: To get the value for the field "Type of Candidate University" we need compare "Home University" to the "University of your Choice". Where the two fields are equal, that will be corresponding to "H=Home University". For all other values, that will be equal to "O=Other University". Concatinating the code values for this 3 fields in sequence "Sex", "Reservation Category" & "Type of Candidate University" we will get the filter value for field "Seat Type".
