Ad.com gets acquired by directi for 1.4 million dollars !
At domain name registration company Moniker’s TRAFFIC conference in Silicon Valley, the domain name AD.com was purchased by Divyank Turakhia of directi.com for 1.4 million dollars !!
Total sales at the auction was of approximately 2 million dollars with Ad.com on the no1 sales spot.
Bottledwater.com took the no. 2 spot at $45,000 and Athletic.com got sold for $40,000.
The AD.com domain name is of value especially as its a 2 character domain which actually means something and can create a lot of value.
It is for a quick flip or will they actually develop a web 2.0 product/service around it ? We'll have to wait and watch
