Advertisements stays good when it is viewed on the same language in which was shot.Dubbing the same ad in other regional languages will not carry the same message. The body language of the person appearing in the ad will suit only for the language in which he has spoken. The same body language won't fit after dubbing. Moreover, the face expression and the voice will not convey a proper message.Remaking an ad will still be a good option than dubbing it.
But advertisements like Hutch(pug ad) will suit for any state or any country.

Dubbing works only at times. As mentioned , The Hutch ad, the dog is used as a sign, wheras the dog cannot show human emotions, Thats why the ad can be used and shown in any language. Even animated ad's like the JBL sound system ...Can be used everyhere.
If humans are used, Advertisements stays good when it is viewed on the same language in which was shot.Dubbing the same ad in other regional languages will not carry the same message. It makes it look weird, the lip movements are totally different.
Eg. A cartoon, Dragon Ballz is dubbed in Hindi, it sounds pathetic..

yeah.. even i have seen some ads tht r orignally created in hindi... but for some malyalam or marathi channels.... they r dubbed in marathi or malyali.. it looks so pathetic... i dunno how these people waste money on such thngs....
but this thng is acceptable in case of ads tht convey the msg widout speakin a word.. as in no person in tht ad is speakin or sayin somethng...
so thts ma point-o-view.....
