Collaboration to Bridge the Gap Between Qualification and Employability
Mumbai, 25th March, 2014: Achievers Zone, one of the leading corporate and educational training companies in India, collaborated with Assumption University in Thailand to provide effective management courses that can help students be employment ready. The objective of the MOU is to foster a long-term collaboration which will enable Achievers Zone and Assumption University to collectively train and support Indian students gain knowledge which can help them to be employed effectively.
The MOU was signed by Mr. Sachin Adhikari, The Chief Mentor, Achievers Zone & Dr Kitti Phothikitti, the Dean of Assumption University in Thailand recently.
Mr. Sachin Adhikari, Founder & Chief Mentor at Achievers Zone, said, "We are delighted to be a part of this partnership which will help students be job ready and more prepared to face the challenges of the corporate world and excel in their respective roles. We are honored to be a part of the legacy of Assumption University which is the first and largest university in Thailand. We are hopeful that their expertise and our insight of the Indian employment sector's requirements will be able to work together in providing effective training to the Indian students."
He added, "Thailand is one of the fastest growing economies in Asia with an unemployment ratio of a meager 1%, thus we can learn a great deal from their expertise with respect to employability. Moreover, with the world shrinking into one global village, students with international exposure will always stay a step ahead of their peers".
The MOU initiative:
Through this MOU, Achievers Zone and Assumption University is aiming at providing training to Indian students to add value to their professional roles. With Indian market place growing at a fast pace, there is great demand for skilled resources and unfortunately, most of the graduates are not job ready. As a result, though jobs are available in the market, skilled workforce is the biggest challenge. To bridge this gap, Achievers Zone is partnering with the Assumption University in Thailand, to give students an opportunity to be trained by the University's highly qualified faculty and be more groomed for the job market in India and Thailand. As a part of the MOU, Assumption University will also be sending their students to India for off shore trainings as a part of their MBA curriculums, making it an enriching partnership for both the organizations. The students will also benefit from Achievers Zone entrepreneurship development training which will add value to their professional roles.
Under the initiative there will two different programs; The Offshore Program which is an 18 month module divided into semesters dealing in 11 different subjects. The second one, MINI-MBA is a 4 weeks program aiming to provide in-depth knowledge in 4 subjects. Each subject will be of 40 hours each. Both programs will require minimum 20-25 students and will be selected through admission tests held at the special Admission Centre which will be set up in India.
