With Green Revolution India does became self-sufficient but still we get reports that many millions of Indians starve or suffer from chronic malnutrition because they are too poor to buy food at market prices. It is an equally reported fact that every year many millions of tons of food grain are left to rot for lack of adequate storage.

Well this is a vague equation. India is a agricultural land.Still Hunger is a top major concern in India. The reason is unequal distribution of resources. Also adulteration is one more reason. Many people starve and die.Hope the hunger concern will end soon.

Why government is not able to or not willing to make more and more enough godowns in country. Because of that lots of the grains are stored in opens and lost due to bad weather every year. Some says the lack of money is the purpose for the government. If they spend money in making gowdons then will not be capable or have enough money to purchase that large quantity of food stalk.
