- Jagriti is the Social Service Wing of Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (MICA). It was started as a teaching initiative by final year students in the beginning of 2010. These students started teaching workers from the MICA canteen and mess on a daily basis. Gradually they expanded their scope of work and by the end of the year they had made significant contributions to the society
through several initiatives. Their efforts led to the making of Jagriti – ‘The Social Service Wing of MICA’.

- Jagriti aims to address various social issues by involving the entire MICA community. With 15 members in the team and 5 faculty members supporting the cause, the team has a wide range of responsibilities. The team primarily focuses on issues pertaining to Education, Health, Environment and Society. It tries to contribute to the society in every possible way. Be it by educating workers inside the campus on a daily basis or by organizing health check-up camps in the nearby villages, the team has always been passionately contributing to the welfare of the society. Jagriti has an equal participation of students from both the first year and the second year. Apart from the 15 students who work round the year, there are student volunteers who help in conducting various events.
- Jagriti, in just one year, has undertaken several initiatives like blood donation camps, health check-up camps for people from nearby villages, education camps and environmental camps. Also in association with the Government of Gujarat, Jagriti conducted an event for generating ideas to promote social messages through eco-friendly means. The team has a set agenda for the coming years and is dedicatedly working on achieving its ultimate goal – Improving lives of people.
