Is it offensive to ask a company in pre placement talks why should i join your Co & compare it with others?

Can you ask this in a sugar coated way ? Yes

That's what we learn as MBA's I guess, to fabricate and mine data in stealth mode.

Some question related to how the industry performs and questions related to their competitor will get you the answer you require.
