ABSTRACT :
This report contains the brief analysis of Sony Corporation, its SWOT analysis and the
various strategies incorporated by the company in different situations . Sony Corporation , a
leading brand in electronic products, is a Japanese multinational conglomerate corporation
headquartered in Konan inato, To!yo, Japan. "ts diversified business is primarily focused
on the electronics, game, entertainment and financial services sectors. The company focuses
on three ma#or areas . The mission of the company is $to create value for our sta!e holders,
andimprove the quality of life for the ne%t generation through our innovations&. To
accomplish this mission ,the company tries to “seek new approaches to transform
our ability to achieve both proftable and sustainable growth”. The basic
understanding of the compay’s profle states that : a company must focus
on its core competency, should try to increase production eciency, lower
the f!ed and variable cost of the products , modify operation , sales and
marketing strategies as per the needs and must focus on eco " friendly
techni#ues as a $%&. ' have prepared this report by going through annual
report of the company and interpreting it with the help of the te!tbook
mentioned in the course. The main ob(ective of this report was the
e!posure to real companies and practical issues faced by the company.
