4th Sem Thesis Help

Hi,

I am a MBA student majoring in Marketing Management. For the thesis in the 4th semester i am not able to come up with a topic. I go completely blank when I start to think of it. It would be a great help if I can get some directions for the thesis.

My area of interest lies in: Computer Games Industry (PC Based Game, PS3, and Xbox 360 etc), Animation Industry (2D and 3D) also Print Media. I have good Designing skills using software like Photoshop etc also in 3D animation as well. For the future plans I want to start up in this area itself. I have look all over but I was not able to find any information relating to any of my interest in terms of start ups. At the same time I can look it as a business proposal or a complete business plan in the animation industry as well.

also there confusion is in getting a concreate idea to work on and the struture of the business proposal or report. There is no limitation to where I will like to do the research for the thesis, as for now I am planning to do it in Mumbai. Any help will be appreciated.

Summit, I went through your previous posts, I see your interest lies in strategy and hence the suggestions.

Btw, If you think you have benefited by being a member at MP, why not share the vision of helping each other. I hope you'd upload your compilation of projects and help others ;)

i think "Thesis on the gaming industry in india and its prospects" is a good topic to study.
i was also thinking as the online gaming is picking up pace in india more than the PC or Console based game, why not to incorporate it with the topic.
as i see it online gaming is a nice business to get in. a lot can be done at this time as the marketing still growing and is at very early stages in india. take example of Zapak.com itself.

thought are still not coming in properly even in this case. i think i need to think over it for some more time. is there any one here on MP who has worked a same kind of topic, thieir work can be helpful for me in understanding how to go ahead with it.

The submission date is too early, else you could've tried to bootstrap a startup in the gaming industry and projected it in your report.

For now, assuming the topic is "Gaming industry in india and its prospects" , you could include :

History of gaming, Emergence of gaming as a money spinner, high end gaming, ps2 v/s xbox marketing strategies, emergence of online gaming industry, case study : zapak.com
 
HI there

I happen to confirm to date for the final submission of the project work.
It seems that the project work is to submitted before the end of March 2008. I think that will give me some time to add in how to bootstrap a startup in animation industry.
